On Friday, December 2nd from 5:30 to 8:30pm, the Merchants of Courthouse Square will be hosting "The Reds of Christmas," the winter Wine Shop Walk event celebrating the spirit of holiday shopping and the rich variety of various red wines, as well as event specials on merchandise and cuisine. Peruse the many fine retail stores in downtown Monticello while sampling unique and craft wines and listening to the strolling carolers as they bring in the holiday atmosphere. Other events going on in the downtown include the tree lighting will take place at 6:00pm, the Jr. Women’s Club Jolly Shop, and Polar Express. Come back Saturday for the annual Christmas Parade, Jolly Shop, Polar Express, Lunch with Santa, Country Pantry, and of course shopping!
