"Metalsmithing to Materialsmithing: Contemporary Art Jewelry," a talk by Billie J. Theide, professor of the School of Art + Design James Avery Endowed Chair. Theide will discuss how jewelry artists today reject symbols of luxury, extravagance, and aristocracy in favor of process-based material exploration.
