Homeward Bound Pet Shelter and Cromwell Radio Group will host a Radio Thon from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 26. The Radio Thon will be held at the Cromwell Radio Group’s parking lot at the corner of Eldorado Street and Franklin Street / Rt. 51 North in Decatur.
Return to event list.Homeward Bound Pet Shelter serves the Decatur and Macon County community in two important ways – by placing an average of over 600 unwanted dogs and cats in loving, adoptive homes each year, and by creating jobs for people with disabilities. This unique collaboration of animal care and human services makes Homeward Bound the only facility in the United States with this type of social enterprise. To make a donation by phone on October 26, call 876-1266 or stop by the Cromwell Radio Group’s parking lot to drop off a donation in person. Lunch tickets for Nelson’s pulled pork BBQ sandwich, coleslaw, cookie, and drink are being sold for $7. Advance tickets must be purchased by October 20 and are available at Cromwell Radio Station, Petals Gift Shop, Homeward Bound Pet Shelter, and Macon Resources or call 875-1910 ext. 880.
