Event Description

Thursday, February 14
OWL PROWL
Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 2573 S. Homer Lake Rd, Homer, 6 – 8 p.m.
Why prowl for owls in February? More owls can be found in Champaign County during the winter months, and for some species this is their breeding season. That means we have a good chance of hearing or seeing a live owl in the wild! This educational program begins indoors with a slideshow about Illinois owls. Then we will hit the trails to call and search for owls! Register early for this popular program. $4 per person; children 2 and under are free. Registration required; (217) 896-2455 or sdonovan@ccfpd.org This program offers an exciting and romantic alternative date for Valentine’s Day!
