Event Description

8th annual juried fine art fair - Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4, rain or shine. 50 artists sell original artwork in a dynamic variety of mediums at one of the region's top juried fine art fairs for collector- and museum-quality artwork. Attendance is approximately 6,500 people who also enjoy artist demonstrations, the popular silent auction and gift basket raffle, Kids' Place, kids' art sale, food vendors, and music provided by local musicians who donate their time and talent. Sorry, pets are not allowed in the art sale; animals used for assistance by disable persons are welcome. The art fair is free and accessible; Kids' Place is $1.25/child. Beautiful artwork, music, and flowers in full bloom make Art Spectacular a beautiful place to spend a day. Volunteers, sponsors, and donors to the silent auction and gift basket raffle may contact Barb at 217-787-3532. Proceeds benefit the non-profit 67-bell Rees Memorial Carillon. Event is sponsored by Rees Carillon Society, Springfield Park District, Washington Park Botanical Garden, and The Carillon Belles.
