Return to event list.Scher is a collector and contributing curator of exhibitions at the Frick, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York. Among his books and catalogues is The Currency of Fame: Portrait Medals of the Renaissance, a study of portrait medals. Stephen K.
