Event Description

Planning, shopping and cooking for when you or someone you love has heart disease can be a real challenge. To celebrate American Heart Month in February and help improve your cardiovascular health, University of Illinois Extension will offer a program called Meals for a Healthy Heart. This workshop series will be taught by Leia Kedem, registered dietitian and Nutrition & Wellness Educator.
Meals for a Healthy Heart is a series of two 2 - 2 ½ hour sessions designed for anyone interested in preventing or managing heart disease. In each session participants receive recipes, watch cooking demonstrations, taste foods to meet their dietary needs, and learn about proper diet and exercise to better care for their health.
Meals for a Healthy Heart aims to improve your overall wellbeing. The program is meant to complement the recommendations of your health care provider and to help you and/or your loved one manage heart disease.

Please join us on February 6 and 13 from 2-4 p.m. at the Champaign County Extension Auditorium, 801 N. Country Fair Drive, Champaign.
There is a $10 fee which will covers both sessions. This fee is for the purchase of food and supplies. No products will be sold at the classes. Space is limited, so enroll now.
