Free Health Fair in Springfield Wednesday

Updated:
About 20 percent of
adults in the United States--that's 48 million people--report some
degree of hearing loss. If that describes you, Wednesday there's a
special clinic planned that could help you out.

The Sight and
Sound Fair will take place Wednesday, rain or shine, at the Sangamon
County Public Health Department parking lot. It's going to be a one-stop
shop for people looking for vision screenings, hearing screenings,
diabetic screenings, and organ/tissue donation registry.

The best part? It's all free.

"The
tests are through the Lions Club," Stephen Frankenstein of the
Springfield Lions Club said. "The Lions Club International, to be exact.
There are self-sustaining buses, with certified technicians who will be
giving these tests to anyone who desires them, at no charge."

If
you want to go, it's Wednesday at the Sangamon County Public Health
Department parking lot, just off South Grand Avenue in Springfield. It
runs from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.Free Health Fair in Springfield Wednesday
