Health Insurance Questions Answered at the Fairgrounds

Updated:
ILLINOIS -- Get Covered America is still fielding questions about the Affordable Care Act, months after open enrollment closed. Organizers with the non-profit say a lot of people are stopping by their state fair booth just to get quotes on plans on insurance plans or ask about healthcare changes.

The Get Covered America tent will be at the fairgrounds through the end of the state fair. For anyone who has questions for this crew, stop by their booth across from the dairy building. Organizers say getting a quote for health coverage only takes about 60 seconds.

"People come by and they have questions about coverage, they have questions about the Medicaid expansion, they have questions about is my plan cheaper or could I get it cheaper so we price it for them right here in the booth," Scott Cross with Get Covered America said.

The non-profit's booth at the state fair is likely to get a lot of traffic this week. More than 10,000 Illinoisans who bought health insurance using the marketplace are getting letters that their insurance could be cancelled at the end of September. These letters ask for citizenship and immigration documents to make sure enrollees qualify for help with insurance.Health Insurance Questions Answered at the Fairgrounds
