Hazardous Weather Outlook

ILLINOIS (AP) This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Illinois.  Day 1: Today and tonight, no hazardous weather is expected at this time. Days 2-7: Wednesday through Monday, for interests along the Illinois river, minor flooding is expected through most of the week from Havana to Beardstown. Thunderstorm chances will return by this weekend.

Construction Alert in Springfield, I-55

SPRINGFIELD - Starting Monday NIGHT, two road projects in the capital city will begin construction.

The Madison Street Bridge rehabiliation begins over Jefferson street at the intersection between Jefferson and Amos Avenue. One lane of traffic will be open during repairs.

You won't be able to access Madison St. from NB Amos Ave. though there will be a detour for drivers.

ALSO

LOOK FOR CONSTRUCTION ON INTERSTATE 55 OVER THE SANGAMON RIVER.

IT'S ON SANGAMON AVENUE AND THE ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD TO COMPLETE BRIDGE DECK REPAIRS FOR THE SANGAMON AVENUE INTERCHANGE.

TRAFFIC WILL BE REDUCED TO ONE LANE ON I-55, CONTROLLED BY FLAGGERS.

IF WEATHER PERMITS, THE SANGAMON AVENUE RAMP TO I-55 SOUTHBOUND WILL BE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY.
