There is one day left to sign up or pay the price.
The Health Care enrollment deadline is Monday and a local hospital is joining in on the efforts to sign you up.
Get Covered Illinois is partnering with St. John's to give enrollment assistance at the hospital's women and children center. Affordable Care Act Navigators are on hand until midnight and again from 10am until 11pm on Monday. You don't need an appointment but you will need your social security number, proof of state residency, a copy of your 2012 tax return and any current health insurance information that you might have.
Amanda Kozar with Get Covered Illinois says, "If you haven't started an application, haven't made an attempt to get health coverage, you may face a penalty, which will come around when you pay your taxes next year."
The penalty for those who miss the deadline is $95 dollars or 1% of your income.
You can call1-866-311-1119 if you can't make it to that enrollment.
