Snow a Big Concern for Road Crews

Updated: Tuesday, February 4 2014, 10:35 AM CST
DANVILLE -- Danville Public Works crews are already gearing up for yet another winter weather event.

Snow accumulation is going to be the primary concern and the operations manager says he prefers it that way.

Crews
have dealt with cold temperatures and ice many times this winter but
they are happy to say that won't be the big concern this time.

Crews
will start plowing as soon as the snow starts to fall which is expected
to start Tuesday afternoon and continue through Wednesday.

And with the chance of high winds snow drifts could also cause issues.

Officials ask that drivers pay attention to how they are parking on streets to be sure the plows can get through.

Crews
also recommend shoveling your driveway to the right side as you face
the street to reduce the amount of snow build-up at the end of your
driveway from plows.Snow a Big Concern for Road Crews
