Auburn High School Prepares For First Football Game of the Season

Updated: Thursday, August 28 2014, 04:56 PM CDT

It's a big week for students at Auburn High School as they're prepping for their first football game of the season.  It's a matchup that happens to be with one of Auburn's long-time rivals, Williamsville High School.

Though, coaches and players here aren't the only ones getting pumped for the big day. Students, staff, and fans throughout the community are planning to attend what's expected to be the biggest game of the season.

In 2013, the team had a 10 and 3 record, making it to the semi-finals during the playoffs.

"I'm excited to see the boys play, i'm excited to see how the team looks and i'm just excited to go," said, Auburn student, Emily Brauer.
"I love friday night lights and I love watching the games."

This is a big rival game as Williamsville and Auburn are the top two teams in the conference.

To add a little more competition tomorrow night, the superintendants of both schools are brothers, so it appears family bragging rights are on the table!

Friday night's game will be held at Williamsville High School and kickoff starts at 7 p.m.
