Illinois School For the Deaf to Host Summer Camps

Updated: Friday, June 20 2014, 09:17 AM CDT
70 students have traveled from across the country to participate in three summer camps hosted by the Illinois School for the Deaf..

These camps were created because many of these participants attend public schools where they're often singled out for being hearing impaired.  Here, they can feel a part of a family where they will develop life-long friendships with others just like them.

There are three camps this week that include Sports, Art, and Stem, which teaches science, technology and mathematics.

The camps are free.  If you'd like to register your child for next year, visit, Illinois School For the Deaf to Host Summer Camps
