Myer's Mobile Animal Clinic

Updated: Tuesday, May 27 2014, 09:52 AM CDT

Myer's Mobile Animal Clinic works to serve over 1,500 pets within the community.

Dr. Kristine Myers-Skunkel has been a Veterinarian in the Springfield community for over nine years.

In 2012, she decided to open up her own clinic.  That's when she created a vet that travels to the home of her patients.

Services provided are just about the same as any stationary vet, offering all vaccines, spaying, neutering, and even minor surgeries such as tumor removals and amputations.

"I just recognized the demand and the need for home service. a lot of pets are a little bit nervous to come to the vet," Skunkel said.  "Sometimes it can be a little bit of an aggression issue with the pets coming to you as well."

The service prices are around the same as a stationary vet.

Aside from an additional transportation fee to pay for gas, Myer's Mobile Animal Clinic also offers an online pharmacy where items will be shipped right to your door step.
