Hazardous Weather Outlook

ILLINOIS (AP) This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Illinois.  Day 1: Today and tonight, no hazardous weather is expected at this time. Days 2-7: Wednesday through Monday, for interests along the Illinois river, minor flooding is expected through most of the week from Havana to Beardstown. Thunderstorm chances will return by this weekend.

Quinn Stops in Savoy

SAVOY --Governor Quinn was in east central Illinois Thursday touting the latest job numbers.
He was in the village of Savoy, south of Champaign.
Illinois unemployment, down to 6.8% in July. It marks the fifth straight month unemployment's dropped in Illinois. That's down almost 2.5% from this time last year.

"We are seeing a good Illinois come back and that's what our people need and so as governor of Illinois, i have to lay the foundation, give folks the opportunity to work and we're very pleased with the results and we have more work to do "

Governor Quinn, met with plumbers and pipe fitters in savoy Thursday, as well as Bloomington, and east St. Louis.
