Commerce Secretary takes medical leave after bizarre hit and run accidents

A press release says it all.

US Commerce Secretary John Bryson has notified President Obama that he would be taking a medical leave of absence and immediately transferring his functions and duties as secretary to Deputy Secretary Doctor Rebecca Blank.

Effective immediately, Blank will become acting Secretary Of Commerce.

This comes after Bryson's involvement in two hit-and-run accidents in California over the weekend.

The commerce department says Bryson apparently suffered a seizure and can't recall all of the details involving his car accidents while visiting Los Angeles.
