Lesley with FOX Illinois interviews the organizers, business owners and Springfield Mayor Tim Davlin about the Shop Local First Holiday Sweepstakes.

83 local, independent businesses that collectively have 120 storefronts across the county are working together in the Shop Local First Holiday Sweepstakes.    

This promotion involves businesses across all categories:  banks and credit unions, restaurants, art galleries, retailers and service providers. What they have in common is that each business is locally owned and independently operated. And each is eager to have consumers make the decision to Shop Local First – that is make a special effort to do their holiday shopping with locally owned, independent businesses.
