Spicy Lentil and Black Bean Burgers

Spicy Lentil and Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients



1 cup cooked black beans

1 cup cooked lentils

1/4 cup roasted corn

1/4 cup panko bread crumbs

1/4 cup minced onion

 5 cloves garlic minced

1 Jalapeño minced

1 Tbsp. minced cilantro

2 Tbsp. tomato paste

1 Tbsp. ground chia seed

1 Tbsp. hemp seed

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

1 Tbsp. udos 3-6-9 oil

1 Tbsp. lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste



Avocado "mayo"

2 Avocados

Juice from 1lime

2 cloves garlic







In a food processor combine half of the black beans half of the lentils the
garlic and the cilantro and purée to a paste. Add all of the remaining
ingredients into a mixing bowl and then mix with the puréed beans and
lentils.  Form into patties and chill for 1 hour. These burgers can be
grilled or cooked on the stovetop. If cooking on the stovetop heat 1 tablespoon
olive oil and sauté the burgers until browned on both sides. If grilling they
work better to put them in the freezer for half an hour and then go straight on
the grill cook until nice and chart on both sides. For the avocado mayo, Cut
and scoop two avocados and put into the food processor with the garlic and lime
juice puree to a creamy “mayo” consistency season with salt-and-pepper.  To assemble place approximately 1 teaspoon of
avocado “mayo’ on both sides your favorite bun and add any toppings you might
like and enjoy!
