Overnight Crunch Coffee Cake

2 cups sifted flour
2/3 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup brown sugar-firmly packed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1/2 cup walnuts- chopped
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tps. nutmeg
Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In separate bowl, cream together butter, sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Spread batter in a greased and floured 9x13 baking pan.
Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle on top of batter.
Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Cut squares and serve warm!
