WE FEEL COMMUNITY AWARENESS IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE...PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS,PEOPLE,VEHICLES AND ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND REPORT IT.... Our truck was stolen right out of our driveway...Last time we saw it was at 10:30pm Tuesday night the 10th of January 2012...Not the best way to start off a new year!... We discovered it missing @ 5:45am Wednesday morning, it was found Thursday afternoon on the 12th completely burnt...Our 2005 F350 seemed to be all in tact like nothing was taken off of it aside from being totally distroyed from being set on fire..This is very disheartning to know people will take and distroy your property just for fun...Please Be Aware this is not the only vehicle stolen and burnt in our area these past few weeks... Also our neighbors and others have complained of gas siphoning's going on all over our area as well... We hope no one else will have to go through this type of distress as we have, so please be a good neighbor and lets all watch out for one another...May God Bless You...

Thank You,
Disheartened

Illinois House Deputy Majority Leader Lou Lang (D-Chicago) backs the Illinois human services budget approved by both a top House panel and the full House last week.

Lang says the $1.2 billion cut to Illinois human services funding provides necessary state austerity while restoring vital services for vulnerable Illinois citizens which were originally eliminated by Governor Pat Quinn.

State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago), the Chair of the House Human Services Appropriations Committee, who drew praise from Lang, says cutting the Illinois human services budget was a "daunting task".

The House and Senate must reconcile competing budget versions before sending to Quinn's desk.

The legislature is scheduled to adjourn on May 31.

(Springfield, IL) -- May 12, 2011. As Illinois continues to struggling with budget problems, State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago) said on Thursday the $1.2 billion Illinois human services budget cuts approved, 13-1, by the House Human Services Appropriations Committee, which she chairs, were needed to balance the current Illinois budget.

Feigenholtz, however, stressed the bi-partisan budget plan, House Bill 3717, would allow the state to live within its means while protecting the most vulnerable Illinois citizens.

On Friday, the Illinois House of Representatives approved, 83-25, Feigenholtz's human services budget legislation.

The Illinois House and Senate must now reconcile their competiing versions of the state's fiscal plan which starts on July 1, 2011.

Christmas is arriving early in Springfield, as Radio Station WLUJ prepares to serve as a collection point for Operation Christmas Child. Soon, with the help of local volunteers, the site will be brimming with festively wrapped shoe boxes full of gifts.

Through Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, Springfield residents are helping send shoe box gifts this year to more than 8 million children in 100 countries suffering from natural disaster, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty. From Springfield, the shoe box gifts will be sorted and sent using whatever means necessary—sea containers, trucks, trains, airplanes, boats, camels, even dog sleds—to reach suffering children around the world.

Operation Christmas Child uses tracking technology that allows donors to “follow your box” to the destination country where it will be hand-delivered to a child in need. To register shoe box gifts and find out what country they are delivered to, use the EZ Give donation form found at www.samaritanspurse.org.
